Jujutsu Kaisen reveals trailer for part 2 of Culling Game and announces new director

Takeru Sato takes charge of the second part of Culling Game with a teaser packed with battles.

The Culling Game is about to ramp up in intensity. The teaser for the fourth season of Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Part 2 arrived showcasing high-voltage confrontations, and with it, a major change behind the scenes was confirmed: Takeru Sato takes the helm of this cour, succeeding the previous production leadership.

The new video highlights several key confrontations defining this installment: Kinji Hakari versus Hajime Kashimo with their cursed techniques unleashed, Maki Zenin demonstrating overwhelming strength, Choso and Yuki Tsukumo facing Kenjaku, and emotional scenes with Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro fighting in desperate situations. The material emphasizes animation and dramatic visuals capturing the escalating chaos of the Culling Game arc.

An experienced director within the project

Takeru Sato is no stranger to the project: he previously worked as an assistant director and episode director on the third season, Culling Game Part 1, and also directed the film Zombieland Saga: Yumeginga Paradise. In his statements, Sato expressed his sense of responsibility working on a series with such passion and an original work beloved by fans. He noted finding strength in the team and cast’s dedication, and that the group is approaching production sincerely, aiming to deliver the series’ appeal in the best animated form possible.

About Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen is the manga by Gege Akutami that was published in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024, surpassing 150 million copies in circulation worldwide. The first anime season aired from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in December 2021, which became a global success. The second season arrived in 2023, and the third, Culling Game Part 1, aired from January to March 2026. Culling Game Part 2 picks up directly where that season left off, driving the Culling Game conflict to its most intense point yet.
