If you thought the phenomenon of heavily armed monsters had reached its peak, prepare for the madness coming to your palm. Developer Garena, known worldwide for its massive success with Free Fire, has officially announced an alliance with Pocketpair to develop and publish Palworld Online, an ambitious MMORPG of survival designed exclusively for mobile devices, scheduled for release at the end of this year.

More than just a port, Garena describes this new video game as an open-world ecosystem built from scratch where players can interact, trade resources, and survive in real-time while building their own base alongside hundreds of friendly (and sometimes dangerous) Pals. The experience promises to adapt to all types of audiences, offering both intense player vs. player (PvP) combat and cooperative content against the environment (PvE). In addition to capturing the original essence of hunting and survival, this mobile version will include completely exclusive side stories not seen on home consoles.

This announcement comes at an excellent time for the franchise. After more than two and a half years of intense work, the main game launched its long-awaited version 1.0 on July 10, consolidating its presence after reaching PlayStation 5 and macOS. But expansion plans go beyond this MMO with Garena: the company recently formed Palworld Entertainment with Sony Music and Aniplex, signed another separate licensing agreement with South Korean Krafton, is developing an adorable farming spin-off called Palworld: Palfarm, and just launched its own collectible card game on July 30.
