Adapting an adult manga directly into a TV anime without prior commercial serialization is rare. The project Hitozukiai ga Nigate na Mibojin no Yuki Onna-san to Noroi no Yubiwa (The Shy Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring), by Puuzaki Puuna, made headlines with its first trailer, confirming its uncensored version will debut early on September 11, before airing on Japanese TV in October.

The production confirmed the anime will feature an original story diverging from the original work. A promotional clip includes the opening theme “Choux Cream” by Hitomi Suzune. Animation is by Studio Hokiboshi under Suiseisha, known for adult short-format content. Kazuomi Koga directs, Eeyo Kurosaki handles series composition, and character designs are by Minakyawa Akapiv, with Miyako Nishida as chief animation director and Studio Mouse (directed by Mikumo Amakuwa) for sound production. The main cast includes Harumichi Shido as Satoru Takahashi, Rikka Kitami as Mifuyu Yukino, and Sara Ayumi as Kaede Kiryuin.

This manga by Puuzaki Puuna has two published volumes. The story follows a young landlord who finds a ring controlling supernatural beings like yokai. He uses it on a shy snow woman tenant, leading to wild and explicit situations.
