Maintaining a perfect reputation at school is exhausting, but keeping a double life while pretending to be a perfect angel is another level. The anime adaptation of the manga Fall in Love, You False Angels (Koiseyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo) officially presented its first promotional trailer during the Aniplex event, confirming that the series will arrive on screens in 2027 under the production of acclaimed studio MAPPA.

The trailer introduced the main couple leading this story of appearances. Voice actress Nao Ojika will voice Otogi Katsura, the class president admired by everyone who hides a quite bold personality. On the other hand, actor Taito Ban will portray Toki Ninomae, the impeccable vice-president who keeps his own hidden side and becomes her accomplice after discovering Otogi’s secret.

In the music department, renowned composer Kensuke Ushio will handle the sound production, accompanied by Yunosuke Senoo and Yuhki Kurihara in composing the themes. The project’s direction falls to Yasutomo Okamoto within MAPPA, with Mariko Oka adapting the character designs and Yohei Yamazaki overseeing the script writing. The technical team is completed with Takumi Hashimoto in art direction, Kana Tanabe in color design, Shunsuke Taniguchi in photography direction, and Ayumu Takahashi in editing.

About Fall in Love, You False Angels

Written and illustrated by Coco Uzuki, the original manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in April 2023. The story follows Otogi Katsura and Toki Ninomae, two first-year high school students seen by everyone as exemplary angels but who are completely opposite in private. After discovering each other’s secrets, they form a pact to protect their true personalities from their classmates, weaving a complicity that gradually brings them closer.

The work has gained significant recognition in the industry, having won the Kodansha Manga Award in 2025 and being nominated for the Shogakukan Manga Award that same year, in addition to consistently appearing among the most popular titles for female readers in the specialized guide Kono Manga ga Sugoi!. Currently, the printed work has seven compiled volumes published and is in a brief publication hiatus that will end in November.
