If you thought the virtual agency’s girls only lived locked behind a monitor doing marathon streams, the franchise has just delivered the biggest surprise of the year. During a special joint broadcast between Kadokawa and COVER Corporation, the first TV anime focused on the agency was officially announced, titled hololive: Let’s Head Out! (Odekake hololive).

The production revealed that this ambitious animated project will be part of the celebrations for the agency’s tenth anniversary, bringing together a massive cast of 29 of its most popular talents. Confirmed participants include iconic community figures such as Tokino Sora, Roboco-san, Shirakami Fubuki, Sakura Miko, Hoshimachi Suisei, Usada Pekora, Houshou Marine, Tokoyami Towa, and La+ Darkness, who will bring their personalities to an adventure outside their usual stages.

The series’ premise will shift from the streaming format to show the girls enjoying their days off while traveling together across Japan. The story will be structured as a gastronomic and tourist tour through the different seasons of the year, showing the members laughing, trying local dishes, and discovering unknown corners of the country in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Studio KAI, a well-known animation studio with extensive experience working on short films and music videos for the same company, will handle the animation. The series will be directed by Shunsuke Machitani, with Ori Yasukawa as assistant director, while Kodai Minami will handle the series composition and Masatoshi Tsuji will adapt the character designs for the screens.
