Talent agency Kenyu Office confirmed the sudden death of voice actress Asami Yaguchi at the age of 47. According to local media reports, the actress died from cardiac arrest, leaving a deep void among her colleagues and fans who enjoyed her characters over more than two decades of career.

The news was announced via an official statement released by Kenyu Office, the agency Yaguchi worked with since its early days. Agency members expressed condolences to her family and remembered the actress as a cheerful person, always willing to care for others and highly beloved in the industry. Following the wishes of her close relatives, the funeral will be held privately.

Born in Saitama Prefecture on July 31, 1979, Yaguchi began her professional dubbing career in 2002. One of her most representative and beloved roles was voicing Kuchipatchi in the Tamagotchi franchise, lending her voice to the 2007 animated film and multiple TV series that accompanied the brand over the years, including Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream and Tamagotchi! Miracle Friends.

Beyond her memorable work with virtual pets, the actress showcased great versatility by portraying the child version of Gintoki Sakata in the acclaimed anime Gintama. Her talent also shone in other notable productions like Super Robot Wars OG as Katina Tarask, Fantastic Children as Tarlant, and in the adaptation of Dies irae as Eleonore Von Wittenburg.
