Pole Princess!! returns to theaters in 2027, but only for two weeks
The pole dance franchise will debut Croix du Nord, a new 60-minute production with five songs and a mysterious girl joining the story.
The girls of Pole Princess!! still have some choreographies pending and, apparently, don’t plan to leave the stages anytime soon. Avex Pictures and Tatsunoko Production announced a new film titled Pole Princess!!: Croix du Nord, which will arrive in Japanese cinemas on January 29, 2027. However, those who want to enjoy this show on the big screen will need to hurry, as it will only be available for two weeks in six Japanese theaters.

The new production will be approximately 60 minutes of CG animation and will feature five songs included in the album Shining Pole Song Album, released in February 2026. In addition to presenting new pole dance performances, the film will continue the events of the 2023 cinematic release and introduce a girl who seems to have a particular connection with one of the main characters.
A new rival appears in Pole Princess!!
The story will begin after the events of the Pole Dance Japan Cup, where Hinano Hoshikita and her Galaxy Princess teammates faced the powerful Aile d’Ange group. Now that the competition is over, the four girls continue refining their skills and exploring new ways to perform on stage.
Everything changes when Yukari Mikoshiro, a member of the rival group, contacts them to invite them as special artists to an event organized by Aile d’Ange. The protagonists happily accept, though the real surprise comes when a mysterious young girl named Luchika Himeori suddenly appears at Azumi’s studio.

For now, the creators haven’t explained much about this new member, but they hinted that she has an important relationship with Azumi. Her original design was handled by the illustrator tomari, who also participated in creating the franchise’s characters. We’ll have to see if her appearance complicates things for the girls or if we’ll simply have another passionate pole dancer.
The voice cast returns for the film
Regarding the cast, the return of the eight main voice actresses from the franchise is confirmed, including several well-known figures in the anime industry:
- Hinano Hoshikita: Rio Tsuchiya, who also voiced Mei Toomi in CUE!.
- Lilia Saijo: Anna Suzuki, known for voicing Lemon Kokoa in Waccha PriMagi!.
- Mio Tousaka: Yui Ogura, who voiced Hinata Hakamada in Ro-Kyu-Bu!.
- Subaru Nanyo: Minami Hinata, recognized for voicing Bojji in Ranking of Kings.
- Yukari Mikoshiro: Yoshino Nanjo, who voiced Eli Ayase in Love Live! School Idol Project.
- Sana Murafuji: Rina Hidaka, known for voicing Milim Nava in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
- Noa Aoi: Saori Hayami, who voices Yor Forger in SPY x FAMILY.
- Azumi Shino: Rie Kugimiya, the unforgettable voice of Taiga Aisaka in Toradora!.
Additionally, Hitomi Ezoe will return as director at Tatsunoko Production, accompanied once again by Toko Machida on the scripts and Yoshihiro Otobe on the CG animation direction. Kotono Sakurai will adapt the character designs for the animation, while Kenta Higashiohji will compose the music. The choreographies will also be supervised by KAORI from Studio Transform, who has been involved in the project since its inception.
It’s worth remembering that Pole Princess!! began as an original series distributed online between late 2022 and early 2023. Its story follows Hinano Hoshikita, a student who discovers pole dance and forms a group with her friends. The franchise debuted its first film in November 2023, featuring a competition that pitted Galaxy Princess against the experienced members of Aile d’Ange.
For now, no international release has been confirmed for Pole Princess!!: Croix du Nord, so fans outside Japan will have to wait for further news on its distribution.
Would you like to see this new Pole Princess!! film, or would you prefer the girls to return with a full season instead of another cinematic release?
