In a financial update on May 14, Nexon disclosed that its forthcoming anime-style game, Project RX, is set to launch on consoles, as noted by Inven. The title had previously only been slated for PC and mobile platforms. Despite not being an open-world experience, the news of a console version has sparked interest regarding its scope and gameplay mechanics.
Created by Nexon’s IO Division, Project RX is a fresh endeavor led by Min-Seo Cha, the driving force behind Blue Archive. Details about the upcoming game remain limited, but it is known to be an immersive 3D title designed to emulate a slice-of-life “isekai” narrative, where players coexist with a roster of attractive female characters. A teaser unveiled last December showcased some of Project RX’s 3D models and serene domestic settings, while also hinting at fantasy components and what appear to be skill-based cutscenes, indicating that combat features in the game.

Utilizing Unreal Engine 5, Project RX represents a more ambitious scale compared to Blue Archive—Nexon has doubled its development team for the project—and the console release announcement has further heightened anticipation. As of now, the game’s launch timeline is undetermined, but additional updates are expected through the IO Division’s official X account and YouTube channel.
