XenoFeels, a forthcoming space customs simulator reminiscent of Papers, Please, has sparked interest due to its “Hentai” label on Steam. KotaMota Games clarifies that this tag was applied by players testing the demo, not by the developers themselves, and they politely request those who added it to reconsider their action.
XenoFeels immerses you as a space customs official responsible for identifying the Xenos, a species determined to terrorize and eliminate the inhabitants of planet Dearth. By scrutinizing photos and documents, plus inspecting their vehicles, you can uncover the imposters and are authorized to use your service shotgun against them.
Although the game lacks explicit sexual themes, it features crude humor, suggestive remarks, and “suggestive material.” One alien in the trailer above playfully inquires if you’d like to perform a “full body search” on her, while another makes a comment about the size of your shotgun. Despite these suggestive elements, the developers have maintained a 16+ rating.
What KotaMota Games may not have realized initially is that developers can remove user-generated tags on Steam if they deem it unrepresentative of their game. Nevertheless, the Hentai tag has since been taken down from XenoFeels, which should help avoid any further confusion.
XenoFeels is slated for a 2026 launch on Windows (Steam). A complimentary demo is accessible.
