Japanese indie developer Plameta Keeper has revealed that its upcoming deckbuilding roguelite, HITORIASOBI, is slated for a PC (Steam) release in 2026. A fresh trailer showcasing the game’s protagonist, Rina-chi, and her teddy bear companion, Poco, has been posted on YouTube. Additionally, a playable demo is in the works.
HITORIASOBI centers on young Rinachi, a girl who lives amidst her favorite possessions. One day, her close friend Poko invites her to participate in a peculiar game crafted exclusively for her. While the game’s core concept remains somewhat mysterious, there are hints that a dark secret lurks beneath its charming, childlike appearance.
In HITORIASOBI, players engage in battles across a small 5×6 game board using toy soldiers, each with unique abilities and costs symbolized by “marbles,” or ohajiki (traditional Japanese glass tokens). The objective is to safeguard your toy king while eliminating the enemy king, similar to chess or shogi. Throughout each playthrough, players assemble and enhance their collection of toy-themed units, acquiring new characters and upgrades as they navigate branching story paths. Over 100 toy units are planned for the final version.

The Steam store page discloses further gameplay elements, such as collectible stickers that grant combat advantages, destructible toy obstacles that benefit the player who removes them, and additional mechanics aimed at diversifying each encounter.

The official HITORIASOBI site has announced that more details will be unveiled on November 3 during a live broadcast on Plameta Keeper’s YouTube channel.
HITORIASOBI is scheduled to arrive on PC (Steam) in 2026, offering support for English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) languages.
