IG Port, the parent entity behind anime studios Production I.G and Wit Studio, has recently disclosed its financial outcomes for the fiscal year concluding May 2026. As noted by GameBiz, the corporation experienced a downturn in both revenue and profit margins, with operating profit decreasing by 46.3% compared to the previous year, and nearly 57% below what IG Port had initially projected.
Within its video (animation) production division, the company observed a 10.7% year-on-year rise in revenue. However, this growth did not yield profitable results, as the segment faced an expanded operating loss of approximately $8.22 million USD. Notable projects undertaken by the company include Devilβs Crest, Eren the Southpaw, Agents of the Four Seasons, HAIKYU!! VS the Little Giant, and The One Piece.
IG Port attributed one of its primary challenges to delays in production timelines. This issue was compounded by escalating production expenses across the anime sector, with the company specifically highlighting increased costs associated with personnel, CG production, and outsourcing. Additionally, the companyβs weak performance was influenced by the need to record βprovisions for anticipated losses on orders,β suggesting that for certain ongoing projects, production expenditures were projected to surpass associated revenues.

Despite robust performance in other business segments such as publishing and licensing, which even surpassed expectations, IG Port anticipates a further 24.3% decline in operating profit during the upcoming fiscal year.
