Japanese game developer FuRyu has recently disclosed that its forthcoming titles, the liminal space anime shooter ANOMALITH and the Alice in Wonderland-inspired roguelite action game CRYMELIGHT, will be showcased at Steam’s Six One Demo Days event. Fresh gameplay footage for both games is scheduled to debut during a presentation on July 31 at 4:00 PM UTC, accompanied by week-long limited-time demos accessible until August 7.

ANOMALITH’s complimentary demo integrates feedback from the closed demo test conducted in June. Meanwhile, CRYMELIGHT’s free demo represents an enhanced iteration of the BitSummit Punch demo, featuring refinements to combat mechanics, user interface, visual effects, and world-building elements. These demos follow FuRyu’s commitment to addressing skepticism regarding the gameplay in its upcoming releases.

ANOMALITH presents a survival horror shooter experience set in an alternate Japan where the Showa era never concluded as history recorded. Players assume the role of Reona Minazuki, a “Diver” employed by the government-backed “Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office,” tasked with exploring naturally occurring “Anomaly Zones” to locate a missing companion. In a narrative twist typical of anime protagonists, Reona discovers extraordinary abilities during her inaugural dive into an Anomaly Zone. As the sole survivor of her team, she must unravel the mysteries behind her powers, the enigmatic Anomaly Zones, and the fate of her friend.

The gameplay centers on traversing Anomaly Zones, engaging in third-person gunfights while gathering ammunition and Anomalous Objects—items essential for developing and upgrading equipment. Reona’s newfound abilities unlock Anomalization Skills, including the capacity to deflect enemy assaults, deploy homing missiles, and conjure decoys. The game also incorporates substantial inventory management, lending an extraction shooter vibe to the exploration of Anomaly Zones.

CRYMELIGHT delivers a roguelite action gameplay and serves as a standalone successor to FuRyu’s dark CRY bishojo action game series, which includes 2018’s CRYSTAR and 2025’s CRYMACHINA.

The narrative unfolds within the afterlife prison of Wonderland, where captive souls must “confront their sins” to secure their release. Players embody an amnesiac girl dubbed Alice, who enters Wonderland to participate in a perilous death game. Victory over the Queen—the sovereign of this dark prison—is the only path to escape.

CRYMELIGHT’s gameplay blends roguelike combat with poker-inspired deckbuilding. Combat entails defeating adversaries to expand a field that enhances player attributes, while deckbuilding segments involve crafting loadouts using skill cards acquired during gameplay. Players can retain up to five cards at any given moment, striving to form “hands” that complement their combat approach and attack patterns.

ANOMALITH is slated for release on October 28 for Windows (Steam), whereas CRYMELIGHT is scheduled for November 4, also on Windows (Steam). Both titles will offer free demos on Steam from July 31 to August 7.
