CyberConnect2 marked the fifth anniversary of their anthropomorphic tactical RPG, Fuga: Melodies of Steel, originally released on July 29, 2021, by launching a mobile adaptation for iOS and Android devices. The developer has also announced plans to bring mobile versions of the follow-up titles, Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 and 3, to players in the near future.
The mobile iteration of Fuga retains the original story and gameplay mechanics while introducing touch-friendly controls tailored for smartphones. As a special bonus, all purchasers will receive the Deluxe Edition’s in-game content at no extra cost.
To commemorate the game’s five-year milestone, CyberConnect has produced three exclusive YouTube videos adapting the novels included in the Fuga: Melodies of Steel Trilogy Box. These videos, titled “Let’s Be Friends,” “The Entrusted Maidens,” and “The Scarlet Order,” feature original assets created specifically for these adaptations.
The Fuga: Melodies of Steel trilogy unfolds in a world populated by anthropomorphic cats (Felineko) and dogs (Caninu). It follows a group of children who, after losing their homes and families to conflict, take up arms on the battlefield in a desperate search for their missing parents. Despite its charming cast and whimsical art style, the series delves into a grim narrative of survival and sacrifice.
