Dynamis One and NC (formerly NCSoft) revealed on July 31 that they will start taking applications for the upcoming Closed Beta Test of Astrae Oratio. Interested participants can submit their applications between August 19, 03:00 and September 21, 3:00 (UTC). The specific dates for the CBT are set to be announced in the future.
Astrae Oratio is set in a world where magic is real. The narrative unfolds in a fictional Tokyo during the year 1889, following a main character who unexpectedly joins a secretive administrative organization called the Special District Office. Based on what we’ve seen so far, the gameplay involves 3D turn-based combat, while the story is delivered through visual novel-style segments that include dialogue options.
The project was first unveiled last April under the codename Project AT. Since then, the development team has been progressively sharing more details about Astrae Oratio’s worldbuilding and characters. It appears that development has now reached a stage where the game is ready for its first round of testing, offering players an early chance to experience it firsthand.
Astrae Oratio is currently slated for a 2026 release.
