Woman sells her husband’s Yu-Gi-Oh! cards after his infidelity
A woman tried to auction off her unfaithful husband’s Yu-Gi-Oh! collection, but fans stopped her.
There’s no fury like a cheated woman’s, and if she has access to your prized collectibles, financial disaster is guaranteed. A story of marital revenge went viral on social media after a woman, upon discovering her husband’s alleged infidelity, decided to apply the ultimate funa: take his vast and valuable Yu-Gi-Oh! card collection to auction it off online.

The enraged wife had no qualms about detailing the entire story in the auction description, explaining the betrayal and clarifying that the cards were in perfect condition, even in their original unopened packaging. However, she didn’t count on the quick intervention of the loyal community of collectors. Seeing the huge amount of rare cards at risk, fans of the franchise immediately organized and began inflating the auction with ridiculously high fake bids, blocking the system and making it mathematically impossible for a real buyer to get the cards for a few cents.

In the end, the revenge plan failed and the auction had to be canceled without any successful transfers. Ironically, this massive intervention by the otaku collectors ended up saving the seller from legal and financial hell, as auctioning off someone else’s property without clear ownership rights often triggers serious issues during divorce proceedings. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen card collections used as hostages in love disputes, but it shows that fans prefer to protect the precious cards rather than take advantage of someone else’s tragedy.
Given that collecting requires years of effort and thousands of dollars invested, do you think destroying or selling your partner’s collections is justified in cases of infidelity, or should hobbies remain completely untouchable regardless of the context?
