Developer Kniv Studio has revealed High Roller Penny, a pachinko-inspired roguelike currently in development for PC (Steam).
In High Roller Penny, you assume the role of a desperate debtor who must take part in illicit, life-threatening gambling tournaments organized by a shadowy underground group known as Yami-Pachi. You are abducted by Penny, a Bunny Girl and debt collector, and forced to battle against other bunny girls. Your objective is to conquer all opponents and climb to the top of the rankings. Victory means Penny achieves fame and your debts are cleared. Defeat results in immediate execution.

The core gameplay involves building massive scores on a pachinko-inspired pegboard. You drop a ball onto the board and watch it ricochet through the pegs, with each collision adding to your score. If you exceed the required threshold with a limited supply of balls, you pass the round and survive. After completing several rounds, you’ll progress to the next stage, where another bunny girl awaits your challenge.
Successfully clearing a round earns you tickets, which can be exchanged for special pegs and balls—apparently through a randomized selection. Pegs obtained from the prize exchange can be positioned freely on the board and often yield more points than standard pegs. Some feature unique abilities, such as broader designs that send balls upward, or pegs that multiply a ball upon impact. Balls themselves come with a variety of distinct properties and effects.

High Roller Penny also incorporates passive skills, enabling you to create powerful combinations between your pegs, balls, and other effects. Additionally, you can liquidate your tickets, pegs, and balls, meaning you’ll need to carefully manage your resources while experimenting with different “builds” to extend your run as far as possible.

High Roller Penny is currently in development for PC (Steam). The release date is TBD.
