Elementa, the game development studio, has officially revealed that its forthcoming idol training game will undergo a rebranding to StarToU. The title was initially introduced back in January under the moniker “V Project.” Alongside the new name, the game’s core mechanics and a selection of characters were showcased in a brand-new trailer.

StarToU is being positioned as an engaging, “empathy-driven” 3D idol game. Players will dive deep into the idol world through “Echoes,” an interactive platform leveraging Touch technology that enables users to gather pieces of their idols’ memories and experience them firsthand. The Starlit Stage feature lets players bond with their idols via rhythm-based gameplay and live performances. Prior to each show, the game grants the freedom to personalize the character lineup, costumes, and card sets. Furthermore, the developers are promising an “enhanced idol development journey” with elements like the Star Journey and social interactions via TOKI, a simulated social media platform.

Within the StarToU universe, a new self-produced idol group named MacGuffin has also been introduced. Comprising members Tay, Yoora, Lim, and Noki, the group emphasizes a unique hip-hop identity rooted in the philosophy of “breaking the rules while keeping the fun alive.” The trailer subtly suggests a storyline filled with tension, as the group members engage in a heated argument and consider disbanding “again.”

StarToU is currently under development. A closed beta test is planned to commence in select regions during the latter half of 2026.
