Dragami Games has unveiled Lollipop Chainsaw Back2Back, a follow-up to the 2012 hit Lollipop Chainsaw. The original star, Juliet Starling, will reprise her role, sporting a fresh ensemble and possessing “even greater power.” The title is slated for a 2027 launch on PlayStation 5.
This marks the first official confirmation of the zombie hack-and-slash franchise’s new installment by Dragami Games. The project was first hinted at in July 2025, when the developer disclosed its partnership with Taiwan-based investment firm Nada Holdings to create a new game and anime based on the Lollipop Chainsaw intellectual property. Nada Holdings mentioned plans to bring back some of the original 2012 development team, though no specific names were provided at the time.
Details on Lollipop Chainsaw Back2Back’s narrative and mechanics remain scarce, but the game is scheduled to make its debut with a playable demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026, located at the Sega/Atlus booth.

Juliet returns to a revitalized San Romero, now reimagined as “Jaredwood,” a sprawling metropolis centered around the film industry. After being ensnared in a mysterious director’s twisted zombie movie, Juliet must team up with her allies, unravel the conspiracy fueling the madness, and confront a fresh menace from the Corrupted Realm zombies.
To celebrate the new game’s reveal and its own second anniversary, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP (a 2024 remaster of the original) will be available at a discounted price for a limited period. The Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S editions are on sale from September 17 at 12 AM UTC to October 15 at 11:59 PM UTC. The Steam version is discounted from September 16 at 5 PM UTC to September 30 at 5 PM UTC. Sales for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and GOG versions are set to commence shortly.
