Due to the dangerous nature of the texts, the company filed a formal complaint with Tokyo police authorities and decided to suspend the actress’s public activities, temporarily removing her from her personal social media accounts as well.

Among the immediate consequences, her absence at the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2026 was confirmed. The event organizers accepted the agency’s request to remove the actress from her four scheduled panels, which included the presentation of the second season of the anime Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. Although the production regretted the last-minute change, the artist’s safety and those around her were prioritized.

Unfortunately, this bitter episode is not new for the interpreter. In 2017, Tokyo police arrested a 20-year-old man who constantly posted death threats against her on internet forums.
