A zombie apocalypse doesn’t have to be depressing when you’re in good company. The animated adaptation of the manga #I’m Looking for Zombie (#Zombie Sagashitemasu) has finally revealed its main trailer and a new promotional image to set its TV premiere date for October 3rd.

The new video trailer featured previews of the musical themes accompanying this youth adventure. Singer Surii will perform the opening theme titled “Raki Raki,” while the group cadode will handle the ending theme with the song “Soft Apocalypse.” Alongside the musical reveal, the production confirmed the addition of recognized voice talents, including Yoko Hikasa as Mikazuki, Makoto Koichi as Toka, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Takamo, Aino Shimada as Saigo, and Kosuke Toriumi voicing the missing father of the protagonist. They join the previously announced main cast featuring Miyari Nemoto as Aki, Lynn as Natsuki, Toshiya Miyata as Haru, Hibiku Yamamura as Yu, and Yuka Nukui as Sakura.

Studio Comet is handling the animation production under the direction of Shinya Une, with Kyohei Suzuki assisting in direction. Kenichi Yamashita and Aki Itami oversee and write the scripts, while Narumi Shimoji designs the characters and Kenta Higashiohji composes the soundtrack. Technical aspects are complemented by Masatoshi Muto in art direction, Ryota Katsuta and Maki Yamamoto handling color design, and Yayoi Tateishi in sound direction.

Based on the work written and illustrated by Katsuwo, the original manga began serialization in Kadokawa’s Comic Dengeki DaiohG magazine in June 2022, concluding its publication in January 2024 with three compiled volumes. The story is set thirteen years after the “Red Day,” a catastrophe where ninety percent of humanity died from a fatal virus and resurrected as zombies. The plot follows Aki and her close friends Haru and Natsuki, young members of a new generation born after the collapse, who decide to venture outside shelters to find Aki’s father.
