Japanese game developer enish revealed on September 18 that its 2023 mobile title “Laid-Back Camp All-In-One!!” will undergo a complete transformation and re-release as Laid-Back Camp All-In-One!! Chill Time. Unlike its predecessor, which was a mobile camping simulation and gacha game inspired by the popular camping anime, Chill Time is designed as a productivity companion app akin to titles such as Chill with You: Lo-Fi Story.
The iOS, Android, and DMM Games versions of Chill Time will maintain a free-to-play model with optional in-app purchases. Players who owned the original game can simply update their app to access the revamped version. Progress including your username, camping gear, cooking supplies, costumes, and support cards (now called “Stills”) will transfer over to Chill Time. Players who continue logging into the original game between September 18 and October 21 will receive 10 complimentary gacha draws each day.
The Steam edition, however, will debut in Early Access as a one-time purchase, with developers planning to implement additional features and enhancements based on community feedback.
Following the original game’s shutdown on October 21 at 2 AM UTC, both the mobile relaunch and Steam Early Access version of Chill Time will become available the next day, October 22 at 2 AM UTC. Sales of virtual currency for Laid-Back Camp All-in–One!! were discontinued as of September 18. Plans for refunds on unused currency are in progress, with further details to be shared at a later time.
Laid-Back Camp All-in-One!! Chill Time utilizes assets from the original mobile game. Featuring miniature versions of characters such as Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Rin Shima, and Chiaki Ogaki (all voiced by their original Japanese voice actors), the app helps you focus on work or study while they camp in the background.
An integrated Pomodoro timer tracks your work intervals and breaks, creating a record of your time spent with the characters. The app also includes a calendar and to-do list for task management, along with various background music tracks and ambient sounds to enhance your productivity environment.
A distinctive feature of Chill Time is the campsite creator. In addition to selecting backgrounds and placing tents, items, and food, you can dress Nadeshiko, Rin, and other characters in over 1,000 different outfits and equipment. Once your scene is set, the camera shifts to various viewpoints around the campsite every few seconds, allowing you to observe the characters interact with your arrangements (the scene continues to animate even when your work is paused). Chill Time also includes an online feature enabling up to five players to share the same virtual campsite, perfect for those moments when you need some virtual company.
Laid-Back Camp All-In-One!! Chill Time is scheduled to launch on iOS, Android, DMM Games, and Windows (Steam) on October 22.
