Otomate, the otome game division of Idea Factory, has revealed its latest project, Shinso no Doppelt: Kagachi Kaoru Kurosagiri no Shiigoto. This retro romance visual novel is set in a Western-style mansion during Showa 22 (1947 by the Gregorian calendar), where a group of male suitors compete for the affection of a young lady.
The game’s central motif is “false love,” as the characters engage in “games” of romance and deceit. Four suitors have been confirmed thus far: Tsuguo Koinowa, Kyoshiro Rokuei, Kageomi Gyosenji, and Shogo Migiri.
Aoki Hiroe, known for Sympathy Kiss and Lover Pretend, is directing the game, with Ninomae Joe serving as assistant director. Makoto Senzaki, who contributed concept art and costume design to Fate/Grand Order and illustrated the free-to-play collectible card game Bungo and Alchemist, is handling the character designs.
Shinso no Doppelt: Kagachi Kaoru Kurosagiri no Shiigoto is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch.
