The idea that the quiet classmate with glasses is a gentle pushover is about to be shattered on TV. The official page for the anime adaptation of the manga Megane, Tokidoki, Yankee-kun (Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent) posted its first promotional video, confirming the series will officially premiere in April 2027.
The first trailer showcased character designs and revealed the voice actors leading this school romantic comedy. Actor Hiroto Shimizu will voice the seemingly reformed Dan Ichikura, while Suzuko Hara will play the cautious Hiro Momose, and Yuma Tomochika will portray Ohana-chan.

The anime is produced through a joint effort between Studio Flad and Wao World. Makoto Hoshino directs, with Megumi Shimizu handling scriptwriting and supervision, while Ruriko Watanabe adapts the character designs for the screen.
About Megane, Tokidoki, Yankee-kun
Megane, Tokidoki, Yankee-kun is a romantic comedy written and illustrated by Naruki. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine in January 2021, accumulating eleven compiled volumes in the Japanese print market.
The story follows Momose, a high school girl who just wants a quiet school life away from troublemakers, delinquents, or vandals. Things seem perfect when she meets Ichikura, a black-haired, bespectacled boy with an innocent look who appears to be the kindest guy around. However, her illusion shatters when she discovers he was one of the most feared gang members in middle school. Although Ichikura insists he’s changed and wants to leave his past behind, his short fuse and tendency to get into fights will test Momose’s patience. She must decide whether to keep his secret as chaos unfolds between them.
