On October 5, during the season 3 kickoff of TBS Radioβs KOJI10 program, Hideo Kojima spoke about the forthcoming horror game OD and the deliberate veil of secrecy surrounding it since its unveiling at the 2023 Game Awards. The acclaimed director explained that the absence of fresh promotional material is by design, as he aims to launch the game while maintaining its enigmatic nature.
With only a few announcements regarding cast members and writers, along with some screenshots and two teaser trailers, details about OD remain scarce. Kojima noted that unlike his previous projects, which featured numerous teasers, he has chosen a different approach for this particular title.
βItβs not that it isnβt finished,β he remarked, describing OD as βa game that pushes players to the brink of fear.β
Kojima also provided an update on ODβs production, confirming that filming, which was halted due to the SAG-AFTRA strike in America, resumed in July. The process, which includes Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR) for voice work, is expected to continue into the following year.
OD is currently in development.
