Japanese indie development team Denneko Yuugi has announced that their forthcoming 3D roguelite action title Eternal Sakura has exceeded its crowdfunding target, raising over 1 million yenโmore than double the initial goal. Developer Hosenka expressed gratitude to supporters in a recent X update.
The Eternal Palace Sakura crowdfunding drive on Campfire has secured 1,034,250 JPY, surpassing its original target. Backers at various levels will receive exclusive rewards, such as Steam keys for early access, a credit mention, and a personalized voice message from Retlaโs Japanese voice actress. The campaign concludes on November 19.

Eternal Palace Sakura follows Retla Stolteins, a dual-wielding feline warrior exploring a dynamic Japanese-inspired palace in search of a sacred relic. Each playthrough presents a unique layout, with randomized loot, foes, and events.
Retla engages enemies with fluid melee attacks and precise dodges. When her special meter is full, she can execute the devastating โOver Artsโ move to clear the screen.
Progress, including attributes and weapon upgrades, carries over between runs, letting players strengthen Retlaโs capabilities. Skills can be customized across four buttons for tactical combat. The Steam page notes over 20 enemy types, 50 enhancement items, procedurally generated rooms, and an endless mode for the ultimate test.
Eternal Palace Sakura is slated for release on November 5 for Nintendo Switch and Windows (Steam). A free demo is available on Steam now.
