Having a legendary sword master teach you combat should be any aspiring hero’s dream, but things get complicated when your instructor is a ditzy beauty who won’t let you focus for a second. The anime adaptation of the fantasy romantic comedy Doukyo Shiteiru Kensei no Onna Shishou ga Kawaisugite Mainichi Shiawase Desu (My Sword Saint Master Is Too Cute to Live With!) has released its first trailer, confirming its main cast and setting its premiere for January 2027.

The story puts us in Eugene Dawson’s shoes, a young man obsessed with becoming stronger who ends up becoming the apprentice of Liza Parsandra, a legendary warrior with the title of Sword Master. However, living under the same roof and training together becomes a real test of the protagonist’s willpower, as Liza combines unbeatable physical skill with a highly ditzy personality that creates tight and compromising situations during practice.

To bring this wild training to life, the production confirmed Seena Hoshiki as the suffering Eugene Dawson and the popular Ai Kakuma as the charming Liza Parsandra. The main cast is completed with Hitomi Ueda as Cordelia Dawson (who also takes on the narrator role), Azusa Tsujimori as Erin Toa, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Meris Eclipse, Miyu Tomita as Fiona Rosso, and Minami Takahashi as Lumiere Theomere.

Behind the scenes, the project is directed by Masayoshi Nishida in collaboration between the studios Wolfsbane and Lightbox. Script supervision and writing are handled by Yohei Kashii, while Ichiro Tanaka is in charge of character design adapting the original style, with music composed by 12sound.
