Yuki Inaba directs the adaptation that will air on television in January 2027 with Studio Palette.

Being kicked out of the hero’s party is a classic fantasy clichΓ©, but ending up on the streets, old, and without a work license is taking bad luck to another level. Fortunately for the protagonist of I Lost My Adventurer’s License, but It’s Fine Because I Have an Adorable Daughter Now (Boken sha License o Hakudatsusareta Ossan Dakedo, Manamusume ga Dekita node Nonbiri Jinsei o Okasuru), life gave him a second chance in the form of an adorable little girl. The franchise officially confirmed that its anime adaptation will premiere in January 2027, accompanied by its first trailer and promotional image.

The story introduces Douglas, who was once a legendary enhancement mage, but now is nothing more than a weak, marginalized old man. After being kicked out of the hero’s party and losing his adventurer’s license, he ends up wandering aimlessly until he meets Rabi, a girl afflicted by a strange curse that will change his path forever.

In the voice cast, veteran actor Hiroki Yasumoto (known for voicing King in One Punch Man and Elfman in Fairy Tail) will bring the veteran Douglas to life. Meanwhile, acclaimed actress Yuka Iguchi (voice of Index in A Certain Magical Index and Myne in Ascendance of a Bookworm) will voice the young Rabi.

Behind the scenes, the production is handled by Studio Palette. Director Yuki Inaba will not only take the helm but also be responsible for writing and overseeing the scripts for the entire series. Character design and main animation direction will be handled by Kaori Yoshikawa, while the soundtrack will be composed by Ohshu and Daiki Okuno under the music production of Space Shower Music.
