TECOPARK, the creators of Pico Park, issued a notice on October 13, advising Nintendo Switch 2 gamers to refrain from buying the title for now. The development team has identified a platform-specific glitch that renders portions of the game unplayable.

This advisory follows reports of Switch 2 players encountering blank screens in World 1-2, halting their progress entirely. Initially, TECOPARK suspected network conditions might be to blame, as no recent updates had modified the game’s code. However, the volume of complaints has shifted their focus, prompting an investigation into other potential causes. While specifics are still unclear, the studio is exploring possibilities, including whether a recent Nintendo Switch 2 system update could be linked to the issue.

Alongside this public statement, TECOPARK is exploring the option of temporarily halting the game’s availability on the Nintendo eShop. The studio remains committed to uncovering the bug’s origin and developing a solution. Fans can stay informed about Pico Park’s status on the Nintendo Switch by following the game’s official X account.

Pico Park is accessible on Windows (Steam and Microsoft Store), as well as Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.
