The final film of Love Live! Nijigasaki reveals its first trailer and release date
The third film will hit Japanese cinemas in February 2027 with the theme Dreaming Free.
The journey of the Nijigasaki idol club girls is about to reach its final destination. The franchise officially confirmed that the third and final installment of its cinematic trilogy, titled Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai Kanketsu-hen Saishusho, will premiere in Japanese cinemas on February 5, 2027, accompanied by its first video trailer.
In this new trailer, the main theme of the film, titled Dreaming Free, performed by the voice cast, can be heard. After a long journey where the group had to split up to compete in the individual tournament “School Idol GPX,” the story will finally bring all members back together in Tokyo to face the definitive conclusion of their school idol phase.
It’s worth noting that this trilogy began in September 2024 with a first installment focusing on the journey of Ayumu, Kasumi, Shizuku, Kanata, Emma, and Lanzhu to Okinawa, where Ayumu’s emotional doubts about facing her own teammates set the tone. Later, in November 2025, the second film took Karin, Ai, Setsuna, Rina, Shioriko, and Mia through the cities of Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe in the Kansai region. Now, with the entire group reunited, the competition will reach its peak.
About Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club
Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club is a multimedia project under the popular Love Live! franchise by Bandai Namco Filmworks (Studio Sunrise). The initiative originally launched in 2017 under the name “Perfect Dream Project” as part of the mobile game Love Live!
