Crunchyroll adds Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie to its catalog
The Reze arc movie and new quintuplets specials arrive on Crunchyroll.
If you missed the cinema premiere of two of the most acclaimed franchises, the orange platform has just saved your weekend. This Thursday, April 23, Crunchyroll made a double announcement that lit up social media: the successful anime film based on the work of Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, will land in its catalog next April 30. At the same time, the service confirmed that two special episodes of the romantic comedy The Quintessential Quintuplets (Go-Toubun no Hanayome) are already available for its subscribers.

The additions leading the Ani-May event
Although the announcement did not offer updates on cast changes or additions, it detailed the formats in which these anticipated projects can be enjoyed, which are part of the monthly Ani-May campaign that will culminate with the tenth Anime Awards on May 23. Here is the breakdown of the releases:
- Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc: Available from April 30 with original audio subtitled and English dub options.
- The Quintessential Quintuplets β½: Already available on the platform.
- The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials 2: Already available on the platform.
*Both romance specials feature Japanese audio and subtitles in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and Russian.
The successful run at Japanese cinemas
The arrival of these titles to streaming marks the end of a long wait for international audiences. The Reze Arc film exploded at the Japanese box office in September 2025, selling over 807,000 tickets in its first weekend and grossing approximately $8.46 million before expanding to over 80 countries. Meanwhile, the quintuplets franchise had an equally solid run: the first special β½ shone in cinemas in July 2023 before moving to television, while Specials 2 managed to enter the top 5 in box office revenue during its limited three-week run in September 2024.

On one hand, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc adapts one of the most brutal and acclaimed narratives of the original manga. The story presents Denji crossing paths with Reze, a mysterious, sweet, and explosive girl who will turn the young Devil Hunter’s life upside down and drag him into one of the bloodiest and most emotional hunts in the franchise.
In the other corner of the spectrum, the two specials of The Quintessential Quintuplets serve as the perfect balm for those who missed the romantic comedy. The first special adapts chapters from the manga that were omitted during the regular TV seasons, while Specials 2 injects new content focused on daily interactions and the unbreakable bond between Fuutarou and the five Nakano sisters, giving fans the warm ending they demanded after the final film.
