SpiralAI quietly launched the Japanese edition of RyzaChat: AI Your Midsummer Dream Story with AI Ryza (unofficial translation) on August 25. The title was initially scheduled for an August 18 release, but an overwhelming response to pre-registrations led to a delay, resulting in the postponement. In addition to Japanese, the game will support English, Brazilian Portugese, Indonesian, Hindi, and Traditional Chinese, with a multilingual global version planned for a future release.

RyzaChat: AI is an AI-driven chat RPG created by SpiralAI and Gust, the studio behind Koei Tecmo. The game offers an RPG mode where your interactions and conversations with Ryza drive the progression.

Once you complete a brief tutorial on Kurken Island, the complete world map becomes available, allowing you to explore a free-scenario-style narrative through personalized quests that emerge as you advance. The game guarantees nearly infinite quests, enabling activities such as exploration, material collection, combat, synthesis, and construction alongside all characters from the original Atelier Ryza trilogy.

Complementing the story-focused RPG Mode is a Chat Mode, which lets you engage in casual one-on-one conversations with Ryza.

Following its reveal earlier this month, the game saw a massive increase in pre-registrations, prompting the developers to postpone the launch to “further enhance its server infrastructure.” In an update about the August 25 release, they noted that the widespread use of generative AI has made it challenging to obtain sufficient high-performance GPUs needed to generate Ryza’s responses and synthesize her voice. However, the team confirmed they have been expanding their GPU capabilities, with most preparations completed recently.

RyzaChat: AI Your Midsummer Dream Story with AI Ryza is now available in Japan for iOS and Android devices. An international version is expected to arrive soon.
