Berserk of Gluttony anime announces production of its second season
The dark fantasy of Boushoku no Berserk will return with its second season in 2027.
The craving to devour souls and level up is endless. Production company Point Set officially confirmed that the animated adaptation of the light novels of dark fantasy Boushoku no Berserk (Berserk of Gluttony) will have a second season arriving on screens sometime in 2027.
To celebrate this news, the production shared a video message featuring the renowned seiyuu Ryota Osaka, who voices the protagonist Fate Graphite. The actor revealed that during the conclusion of the previous season, he was hinted that the project would continue if the team’s schedules allowed. The most exciting part is that he revealed the voice recording sessions for this new season have already begun, noting intense improvisation duels with veteran Tomokazu Seki, who voices the black sword Greed.

Originally born as a series of light novels written by Ichika Isshiki and illustrated by fame on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2017, the story follows Fate Graphite, a marginalized youth suffering from the “Gula” ability, a curse that keeps him eternally hungry. Everything changes when he ends the life of a dying thief and discovers his power’s true nature: his ability allows him to devour the stats and souls of his victims, helping him navigate a cruel world to claim his destiny.
