The Holy Grail War doesn’t end: Fate/strange Fake confirms new series
The Fate/strange Fake franchise revealed a new trailer to confirm its continuation.
The brutal and chaotic Holy Grail War in American territory is far from over. To the huge delight of this franchise’s fan community, it was officially confirmed that the animated adaptation of Fate/strange Fake will have a new series. The announcement came with a first trailer and a promotional image showing the broken and intertwined figures of Ayaka, Saber, and Sigma.

The light novel author, Ryohgo Narita, eagerly shared his excitement about the news, commenting that even as the story’s creator, he feels like a reader waiting to see how the production team adapts the most intense moments to the screen. Original character designer Shizuki Morii thanked the fans’ constant support and highlighted the huge motivation within the production to bring back this dangerous universe.
The voice cast also expressed happiness about returning to their characters. Kana Hanazawa, Ayaka Sajyou’s voice, noted that the previous installment ended just as the bond between her character and Saber was deepening, so she’s excited to discover what fate has in store. Likewise, Yuki Ono (Saber) and Gakuto Kajiwara (Sigma) admitted they were eager to see the response to the conflict’s conclusion, especially hoping Sigma’s path receives the reward he deserves.

About Fate/strange Fake
This work originally began as a series of light novels written by Ryohgo Narita (famous creator of titles like Durarara!! and Baccano!) and illustrated by Shizuki Morii. The story takes us to Snowfield, Nevada, where a false and distorted Holy Grail War breaks all traditional ritual rules, summoning unusual Servants and unleashing an unpredictable large-scale conflict. The first animated installment aired between January and March 2026 with 13 episodes, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats.
With a Holy Grail War where no sacred rules are respected and the tension between Servants is at its peak, do you think this new series will rise as the best Fate franchise adaptation in recent years?
