Publisher Perfect World Games provided an update to its shareholders regarding the performance of its open-world anime RPG Neverness to Everness (NTE) on April 30, the day after its worldwide launch. The company reported that first-day sales surpassed 100 million Chinese Yuan (approximately $14.64 million USD), though it remains uncertain whether this figure encompasses sales from the Chinese version of the game as well.
Diving into the details, the publisher noted that Japan and the United States contribute the most to the game’s revenue, while South Korea’s contribution is surpassing initial expectations. In terms of platform distribution, PC and PlayStation 5 users are responsible for roughly 75% of NTE’s total revenue.
The response to Neverness to Everness has been largely favorable, with analytics revealing that players are spending more time navigating the urban environment than participating in combat. In light of this, Perfect World Games is contemplating the addition of paid, city-themed content featuring character skins, outfits, houses, and vehicles.
Regarding the game’s future development, the team is actively considering player feedback and concerns, intending to address them in upcoming updates. Versions 1.1 and 1.2 are set to enhance performance and usability, making the game more approachable. Additionally, Perfect World Games aims to refine gameplay mechanics to boost its appeal and maintain player engagement.
Neverness to Everness is accessible on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and Windows and macOS (available for download via the official website).
