Novaflare, a burgeoning South Korean studio composed of ex-NCSoft developers, recently introduced its first project, Project Rabbit, via a trailer unveiled on May 14. The studio characterizes the game as an “extraction soulslike action RPG” that draws inspiration from a dark fantasy twist on Alice in Wonderland. In this game, players must battle adversaries, seize treasures, and make it back safely with their spoils after each playthrough.
The game’s setting merges Eastern and Western cultural motifs, as showcased in the trailer where European castles stand adjacent to traditional Korean tiled houses (as noted by ThisIsGame). Additionally, the trailer features jangseung village guardian totems placed alongside horse-drawn Western carriages, further highlighting this cultural blend.
The combat system incorporates familiar soulslike mechanics, including dodging, parrying, exploiting enemy behaviors, and facing multi-phase bosses (as suggested by the boss fight in the trailer). The game also integrates escape and survival components to enhance the experience.

The extraction mechanic is subtly hinted at on the game’s Steam page. The game is set in the “Abyss of Time,” a singular world formed from various realms where inhabitants are driven mad. Players must defend themselves against lethal assaults alongside Alice, uncover hidden riches, and reveal the land’s secrets. According to the Steam page, players can craft their own combat style by experimenting with numerous combinations of weapons, gear, and abilities.

Project Rabbit also supports Online Co-op, Online PvP, Cross-Platform Multiplayer, and offers language support for 10 languages, including English.
