Androids and a Futuristic Tokyo: Re:bel Robotica Anime Announces 2027 Premiere
SILVER LINK and director Shin Ōnuma lead this ambitious sci-fi series set for 2027.
At Anime Expo, the Amuse Creative Studio presentation brought major announcements. The production committee behind Re:bel Robotica released its first promotional video, confirming the ambitious multimedia project will debut as a TV anime in 2027 with a high-quality production team.

Animation is handled by SILVER LINK, with Shin Ōnuma directing the project and Kōki Onoue as episode director. Ryō Yoshigami writes the scripts, while Kazuyuki Yamayoshi designs the characters. Yuki Kajiura composes the main themes, with Takumi Ozawa and Shiho Terada handling the rest of the soundtrack.
Mika Pikazo’s Visual Legacy
This project’s creator is illustrator Mika Pikazo, known for bringing characters like VTubers Kaguya Luna and Hakoz Baelz to life, as well as her work on Fate/Grand Order and Fire Emblem Engage. What began as a self-published doujin at Comiket 2017 evolved into light novels published in 2022 by ARCH. The anime’s story is set in Tokyo in 2050, where Robotica (humanoid machines) rule, until the mysterious girl Lily appears in Shibuya, shattering the peace.
With Yuki Kajiura’s music and Mika Pikazo’s designs, can this original story stand out in the crowded sci-fi genre?
