The comedy manga magazine Dengeki Daioh G from Kadokawa surprised the community by officially announcing that the iconic manga Gabriel DropOut (Gavuriru Doroppuauto), created by author Ukami, will reach its definitive conclusion with the publication of its next chapter.

The story follows Gabriel White Tenma, a perfect-graded angel who descends from heaven to Earth to attend high school and guide humanity toward goodness. However, her sense of duty vanishes the moment she discovers the vice of online gaming, turning her into a true lazy addict glued to the screen. The story gave us years of absurd comedy thanks to the hilarious dynamic between Gabriel and her group of friends, where roles are completely reversed as responsible demons and chaotic angels live a bizarre school routine.

This acclaimed work originally started in December 2013 in the Dengeki Daioh G magazine, shifting from a bi-monthly to a monthly publication in April 2014. With a total of sixteen compiled volumes released by September 2025, the franchise solidified its popularity, achieving a major leap to television with its own animated adaptation premiering in January 2017. Now, after over ten years of uninterrupted serialization, Ukami prepares to give the story a worthy conclusion for the adorable and lazy heroine.
