To Love-Ru announces a new volume and a special chapter
To Love-Ru will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the special volume To Love-Ru Parade in October.
The undisputed king of romantic comedy and ecchi is back to reclaim its throne at the top of the genre. If you grew up admiring its iconic waifus, the legendary manga To Love-Ru announced the release of a special volume titled To Love-Ru Parade, scheduled to arrive in stores on October 2nd as part of the celebrations for the work’s 20th anniversary.

This new compilation volume will bring together for the first time various standalone chapters and side stories that had never been published in print book format, covering exclusive content from both the original installment and its acclaimed sequel, To LOVEru DARKNESS. Additionally, the official magazine launched a new 25-page completely new special chapter simultaneously, created by the legendary creative duo consisting of writer Saki Hasemi and master illustrator Kentaro Yabuki, commemorating two decades since the franchise began publishing in 2006.

The franchise has a monumental track record within the anime and manga industry. The first series debuted in 2006, accumulating a total of 18 compiled volumes, while its direct sequel was published between 2010 and March 2017, also reaching 18 volumes. Both works inspired multiple seasons of animated adaptations for television and a vast collection of OVAs that marked an entire generation of fans of romance and fanservice. The arrival of this commemorative volume proves that, twenty years after its birth, the spark of its unforgettable heroines remains as alive as on the first day.
Knowing that Kentaro Yabuki and Saki Hasemi have reunited to commemorate this 20th anniversary, do you think this special release could open doors for a new To Love-Ru animated saga or project in the future?
