Feigning to be the most useless prince in the empire while secretly being one of the best adventurers on the continent is the kind of double life that the fantasy political anime has perfected. The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for the Throne released its second trailer revealing the season’s musical themes and confirming the premiere for July 6, 2026. The video also features a new key visual with the twin princes and the main heroines.

The opening “Script” is performed by the dance and vocal group BUDDiiS, and can be heard in the new trailer alongside key story moments. The ending “Suteki na Kanchigai” (A Wonderful Misunderstanding) is interpreted by the idol group Kurawan. The trailer reinforces the series’ central contrast: Arnold‘s public image as a talentless and ambitionless prince versus his true nature as a shadow operator moving pieces to secure the throne for his twin brother Leo.

The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for the Throne is a light novel by Tanba with illustrations by Yuunagi, which began on Shosetsuka ni Naro in February 2019 and has sixteen volumes published under Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko label. The manga adaptation by Yukino Amagai is up to its tenth compiled volume. The story follows Arnold Lakes Adler, the seventh imperial prince known to the world as an inept man without ambitions.
