Love Live! Hasu no Sora anime confirms premiere date and episode count
Gou Kurosaki directs the new 7-episode anime, set to premiere on January 10, 2027.
The stories of girls dreaming of shining on stage continue to expand, now focusing on a new generation of students. The franchise officially announced that the animated project Love Live! Hasu no Sora Jogakuin School Idol Club will air on television on January 10, 2027, accompanied by a new promotional image and the formal introduction of its characters.

This new animated production will consist of seven episodes, taking viewers through the experiences of the 106th generation students, covering events from April to June of their school year. The reveal includes new designs for this group of students, marking a significant milestone for the project, as both the video game and the previous film had exclusively focused on generations 103 to 105.
Behind the scenes, the project is handled by studio Sublimation under the direction of Gou Kurosaki. Writing and script supervision are by Fumiaki Maruto, while Haruko Iizuka adapts the character designs for the screen. The soundtrack will be composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa with support from Lantis in music production, retaining most of the creative team that worked on the franchise’s previous feature film.

Love Live! Hasu no Sora Jogakuin School Idol Club is one of the latest spin-offs in the renowned idol franchise created by Sunrise and Bandai Namco. The concept began with an interactive real-time design to accompany the girls through 365 days until graduation, expanding its universe through album releases, live events, and a manga published in Ultra Jump magazine since late 2023.
The TV series announcement comes during a transitional period for the brand. Following the May 2026 cinema release of the film centered on the farewell of the 103rd generation, the mobile game ended its services mid-year. However, the project remains committed to telling the protagonists’ story on the small screen.
