The summer season continues to build its lineup, and fans of reincarnation stories have another date to mark on their calendars. The anime adaptation of Towa’s light novels, Sekai Saikyou no Koueitaho: Meikyukuu no Shinjin Tansha (The World’s Strongest Rearguard – Labyrinth Country’s Novice Seeker), has released its second official promotional video. This trailer not only lets us hear snippets of the main theme songs but also confirms its global premiere for July 5, with distribution via Crunchyroll.

The new footage introduces the musical themes that will accompany the protagonist’s adventures. The opening theme is titled “license” and performed by Redhair Rosy, while the ending theme is handled by Inner Journey with “Owaranai Yoru no Mamori-kata.” Both themes showcase the series’ tone, setting, and team dynamics from the first episode.

About Sekai Saikyou no Koueitaho

The story follows Arihito, a former office worker who is reincarnated in a fantasy world as a “Seeker.” Unlike typical frontline warriors, his assigned class is rear guard, an unconventional role focused entirely on providing critical support—attack, defense, and healing—to his all-female group. This unique profession has a curious advantage: the further back Arihito positions himself in combat formation, the more affection and sympathy his companions feel toward him naturally as they explore the dangerous labyrinth country.

The original work began on Shosetsuka ni Naro in April 2017, later receiving a printed edition from Kadokawa with illustrations by Huuka Kazabana. The concept of a protagonist focused solely on tactical support from the back of the formation breaks from the classic invincible frontline hero stereotype.
