Through the launch of a new official website, the production committee confirmed that the original manga Yurayura Q, the latest story by talented Gido Amagakure, will finally make its jump to the small screen with its own animated adaptation to brighten our lives.

The narrative of this peculiar romantic comedy introduces us to Kyuko, a high school student dealing with an unusual biological issue: she is half-human and half-fox spirit. To worsen her identity crisis, the girl has eight older brothers who are ridiculously handsome, talented, and perfect at absolutely everything they do. Feeling like the most ordinary person in the world and struggling daily to control her clumsy fox charm powers, her only real emotional refuge is her childhood friend, Haru-chan, who never misses a chance to remind her how adorable she is.

Although the announcement of this production has the community celebrating, the news comes with a bittersweet taste for regular readers of the franchise. After starting serialization in the pages of the magazine The Hana to Yume Fantasy in October 2019, publisher Hakusensha confirmed that the work will publish its final chapter on July 27. However, knowing Amagakure’s impeccable track record of adapting her gems to television (as we recently saw with A Galaxy Next Door), this animated project will serve as the definitive tribute to bid farewell to these characters.
