In its recent financial update covering the first quarter of the fiscal year concluding March 31, 2027, gaming publisher Marvelous hinted at the potential expansion of Honey ∞ Parade Games into the console gaming sector. As a division of Marvelous, Honey Parade Games is known for crafting bishojo games, with the widely recognized Senran Kagura series among its key projects.
Over the past few years, starting around 2020, the studio has predominantly released free-to-play games such as Dolphin Wave and the now-defunct Shinobi Master Senran Kagura: New Link. Furthermore, the company plans to launch Shinovi Nexus: Senran Kagura—another live-service installment in the Senran Kagura lineup—within 2026 in Japan.
With enthusiasts of the Honey Parade brand longing for its full-priced titles, it appears the studio may be poised to return to console gaming in the coming years. During the presentation of Marvelous’s strategic direction for its subsidiaries, president and CEO Shinichi Terui indicated that the company is contemplating a shift beyond online games, potentially venturing into the consumer game market, which encompasses premium console and PC releases.
Notably, the studio seems to be in solid financial standing, as Terui pointed out consistent revenue from Dolphin Wave and licensing fees from Shinobi Master Senran Kagura: New Link as key income sources.
Honey ∞ Parade Games’s forthcoming release, Shinovi Nexus: Senran Kagura, is slated for a 2026 debut in Japan, available on iOS, Android, and PC through DMM Games.
