The Village of the Leaf seems to have a huge surprise ready to close the year. According to a recent report, the Naruto franchise will officially announce a new animated film during its participation in the upcoming New York Comic Con 2026, marking the anticipated return to cinema of one of the most influential anime works.

The event is scheduled for October 10 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. During this panel, the production plans to give the first look at this new animated feature, reveal information about its worldwide release, and present the first promotional trailer alongside news about the franchise’s card game, plus several surprise announcements about other ongoing projects.

Special guests from Japan will also attend to make the event unforgettable. Legendary voice actors Junko Takeuchi, who voices Naruto Uzumaki, and Noriaki Sugiyama, the unforgettable voice of Sasuke Uchiha, will be on stage. Joining them will be executive producer of Studio Pierrot, Yoshihiko Tominaga, and a Bandai representative to share all details about the saga’s future.
