Despite its name, Drunken Goddess Reflux from Japanese studio Alliance Arts and director Fuyuki Hayashi (aka WHO YOU) doesn’t star a divine woman, but instead follows Fam Sour, the demon of alcohol. Taking place in Hell’s Pandemonium bar, you face off against Fam in a Russian Roulette drinking contest with the goal of making her vomit her soul before you do yourself.
You’ll need all your skills, as Fam isn’t just Hell’s resident drunkard – she’s also fixated on you, even offering immortality through Hell’s liquor if you lose the drinking match.
The gameplay involves picking from a selection of visually similar alcoholic beverages, while Fam makes her choice from what remains. Since each drink has different alcohol content, accumulating the stronger spirits over multiple rounds puts you on the path to defeat.

What sets Drunken Goddess Reflux apart from conventional Russian Roulette drinking games is its handling of later rounds. As both you and Fam become more drunk, you gain the ability to bend or break the rules using unusual tactics. For instance, stabbing yourself with an ice pick can sober you up, removing three points of drunkenness. You can also introduce rule modifications, such as adding an extra powerful drink called Spiritum, to spice up the session.

Between drinking sessions, you have the chance to explore the 3D Pandemonium bar setting, discover hidden secrets, chat with other characters, and make choices that influence your game’s conclusion. With seven potential endings, Drunken Goddess Reflux offers more than just a soul-saving drinking contest – it’s an opportunity to uncover all the mysteries of this infernal world.
Drunken Goddess Reflux is scheduled for a 2026 release on Windows (Steam).
