Magic Revenge: A Livid Lady’s Guide to Getting Even anime arrives in July

The rage of a betrayed woman can be the fuel that reduces an entire empire to ashes. The production of the animated adaptation of A Livid Lady’s Guide to Getting Even (Buchigire Reijo wa Hofuku wo Chikaimashita) confirmed this Friday that the series will officially premiere in July 2026, revealing new cast members and details of its soundtrack.

To raise expectations of the otaku community before the TV debut, REMOW will organize a special panel during the Anime Expo on July 4. At this event, an preview featuring the first half of the initial episode will be screened, allowing attendees to be the first to witness Elizabeth’s transformation from a betrayed noble to an relentless avenger.
Details of A Livid Lady’s Guide to Getting Even
The project is being developed at Studio Comet under the direction of Naoyuki Kuzuya. The episode structure and scripts are handled by Mitsutaka Hirota, while Sayaka Anezaki is in charge of character design to capture the dark fantasy tone of the original work. In the music department, Yui Ogura will perform the opening titled “Q.E.D.”, and Aguri Onishi will provide the voice for the ending “Goodbye Lullaby”.

The plot of this visceral isekai (though originating from a reincarnation and magic narrative) follows Elizabeth, the prime minister’s daughter who was destined to be the queen of Haldoria. Her world collapses when her fiancΓ©, the crown prince, publicly cancels their engagement and imprisons her under false rumors. Instead of resigning to oblivion, Elizabeth decides to use seven powerful magic grimoires to crush the country that despised her and orchestrate the fall of the crown.
This story originally began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2020, achieving such success that it quickly transitioned to the light novel and manga formats. Now, with its premiere confirmed for the summer season, the promise of a strong and ruthless female protagonist positions it as one of the highlights of the year.
