Developer PocketGame and publisher Networkgo have recently reinstated the Steam store page for their forthcoming creature collection RPG Pickmos (source: Game*Spark). The page had been temporarily taken down by Networkgo in mid-April over concerns related to copyright issues. While no official statement has been made about its return, it appears PocketGame has secured the necessary approval from publishers to relaunch the game on the platform, featuring updated artwork and gameplay footage.

Pickmos

Pickmos was first announced in February 2026 under the name Pickmon, quickly drawing attention for its striking similarities to Pokémon and Palworld, both in visual style and gameplay mechanics. However, these resemblances led to significant criticism from fans, with some character designs being deemed too close to those from the aforementioned series. PocketGame faced accusations of using fan-made Pokémon designs without permission, as well as copying models from popular franchises like Overwatch and The Legend of Zelda series.

Given the ongoing high-profile lawsuit between Nintendo and Pocketpair over patent infringement, many anticipated that the project would encounter legal challenges.

In an effort to address copyright concerns related to the game’s title, which bore a resemblance to a well-known franchise, PocketGame announced on April 10 that it would rebrand Pickmon as Pickmos. However, just six days later, Networkgo issued a subsequent statement indicating it would take a more active role in the development of Pickmos, leading to the removal of the game’s Steam store page. According to the publishers, this action was taken to give the developers time to revise the game and ensure a smoother, controversy-free experience.

Upon examining the updated Steam store page, it’s clear that the header image has undergone significant changes. Notably, the creature that was criticized for resembling a well-known fan design of Mega Meganium has been removed, along with what appeared to be Pikachu and Lucario lookalikes. Additionally, the creature resembling Charizard has been swapped for a more mechanical dragon design.

With the original trailer video absent from the Steam store page and removed from YouTube, it seems PocketGame may still need time to fully replace all contentious assets.
