PLAYISM has revealed that the newest installment in the Idol Manager franchise, Idol Manager: Virtual Venture, will arrive on Steam in 2027. Crafted by Glitch Pitch, the creators of the original Idol Manager, this blend of management simulation and visual novel tasks players with overseeing a virtual streaming agency rather than a traditional pop star talent firm. The role isn’t without its challenges, as players will navigate both the glamorous and shadowy aspects of the industry.

Players kick things off by scouting fresh talent, either through auditions or by recruiting freelance streamers. Once hired, these streamers gather under one roof, each requiring individual management. Tasks include moderating streams by selecting overlays, music, and monitoring chat interactions, while also engaging in conversations that strengthen bonds with your streamers. Not all interactions are smooth sailing, however, as some discussions may involve drama, rumors, and scandals within your agency.
Virtual Venture offers numerous ways to tailor your experience. As mentioned, you can customize how your streamers present online, along with their gender, appearance, and social media profiles (managed by liking or reporting posts). Even your streamers’ dorm rooms evolve based on their personalities. While this might seem like overreach, it’s all part of the game’s take on stardom.
With a Story mode chronicling your rise to prominence and a Freeplay mode focused on management, Idol Manager: Virtual Venture is slated for an Early Access launch on Steam in 2027. The game will remain in Early Access for roughly 12 to 18 months before its full release. The final version will feature the complete Story mode with three routes and multiple endings (Early Access will include about 20% of the main campaign), romance options, plus additional mechanics, random events, and building choices for your streaming collective.
