South Korean game developer Pearl Abyss has achieved its highest quarterly revenue ever, largely thanks to Crimson Desert. According to the companyโ€™s financial results for Q1 (reported by ThisIsGame), the open-world adventure game alone has generated 266.5 billion won (around $178.92 million USD) in revenue since its release in mid-March.ย 

As a result, Pearl Abyss experienced remarkable growth figures, with annual revenue increasing by 419.8% and operating profit surging by 2,584.8% year-on-year.ย ย 

A closer look at Crimson Desertโ€™s performance shows that overseas sales make up 94% of the titleโ€™s revenue. Of this, North America and Europe contributed 81%, fueling the gameโ€™s global success. In terms of platforms, the studio reports that the revenue split between PC and consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series Xโ˜S) is approximately fifty-fifty.ย 

As of mid-April, Crimson Desert has sold 5 million units worldwide. The title is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Mac App Store), PS5, and Xbox Series Xโ˜S.ย
