Building on the impressive reception of Silent Hill f, Konami has revealed that the game has surpassed two million units sold globally as of April 22. This figure encompasses both physical and digital sales across all available platforms.

Created by NeoBards Entertainment and distributed by Konami, Silent Hill f aimed to continue the series’ legacy with a narrative centered around a clandestine religious cult orchestrating events from behind the scenes. After extensive talks between writer Ryukishi07 and producer Motoi Okamoto, the decision was made to infuse the story with elements of Japanese mythology, placing faith in the audience to embrace the unique experience – and it appears this gamble has paid off.

Silent Hill f not only dominated Japanese store charts and earned accolades at game awards, but it also cultivated a global fanbase thanks to fan-made memes, art, and theories. The enthusiasm extended to the Japanese voice actors, many of whom have reportedly completed the game themselves. Despite its grim themes and unsettling atmosphere, the triumph of Silent Hill f demonstrates that there remains a strong audience for the franchise’s distinctive brand of psychological horror.
